so I know its illegal for copyright purposes if you put music thats not yours on your youtube video

but if it’s illegal how do like millions of videos on youtube have music thats not theirs on ther videos?

is there a legal way to go about it or something I’m missing?

What are some other ways to download free music?

April 30, 2010 - 3:32 am 3 Comments

I downloaded limewire and frostwire, but deleted them both from my computer and I can’t reinstall them back because they won’t download again right. I just need to know another website to download free mp3 music from; I wanna download T-Pain’s whole cd.

Do you know what torrents are? Go to torrentspy.com or btjunkie.com and see what’s there. You can get whole cds or discographies of artists.

Headphone extension so I can listen to music on the computer?

April 30, 2010 - 3:32 am 4 Comments

My computer’s hard drive is on the floor and many times I want to listen to music on the computer. However, the headphone cord isn’t long enough. Is there a type of headphone that has a longer cord or a way to connect using an extension cord?
Names of headphone brands are appreciated. Thanks!

You can get "3.5mm Mini Plug extension cord" for a few buck in any local RadioShack, electronicsstore or on the net.
Here is one for $3.

Free downloadable vocal removing music program?

April 30, 2010 - 3:32 am 4 Comments

I looking for a free downloadable music program or software fronm the internet in which I can play a song into and remove the vocals from the song and change the key in which it’s been played at. Links would be very helpful. Thanks.

Audacity has a vocal removal method as well as a pitch change function..

Lame if needed to encode to mp3:

How to install Lame:

Basic tutorials:

Vocal removal method:

This is possible only for certain stereo tracks. When the vocals are exactly the same on both stereo channels, you can remove them by “subtracting” one channel from the other. This works for many studio recordings, where the vocal track is mixed exactly in the center. Be aware that bass and drums are usually panned to the center and can be removed or reduced also. Depending on how the track was mixed the vocal may only be reduced, not fully removed.

To do this in Audacity 1.2:

1. Import your stereo file into Audacity.
2. Open the track menu (click the arrow next to the track title), and choose “Split Stereo Track.”
3. Select the lower track (the right channel) by clicking it in the area around the mute/solo buttons.
4. Choose “Invert” from the Effects menu.
5. Using the track menus, change each track to “Mono.”

Press the Play button to hear the results. If you are lucky, the voice will be gone but most of the other instruments will be unaffected, just like a karaoke track. You can use the Export commands in the File menu to save the results.

Audacity 1.3.12:
Has a vocal remover built in. Just select the whole track then vocal remover from the effect menu.

Why are most older peoples reactions to rap music always negative?

April 30, 2010 - 3:32 am 11 Comments

What is it about the combination of poetry and a beat that causes people to become offended? I like almost all types of music and I find rap especially easy to enjoy. I find that a skilled MC and a good beat can put you into a chilled out mindset much easier than rock and roll or pop music.

People always bring it back to how a small group of famous MCs tend to rap about unenjoyable topics, but there are millions of MCs around the world, each with a different philosophy. To dislike rap based on the existance of 50 cent and P diddy is like disliking rock music because of Prince or the Backstreet Boys.

A lot of older people have just heard the wrong rap music at some point in time. So automatically when you say rap, they revert back to the rap music or song that they heard and they found that song offensive, vulgar, etc. so they shut themselves off to it and just write it off as negative all together. I agree that a lot of hip-hop out there today is a little over the top, but at the same name you can not criticize the music as a whole as being "bad music". There is some really refreshing hip-hop out there and if you haven’t taken the time to listen or hear this music you should not say anything at all in my opinion.

Is there a way to import music videos into the Music Videos playlist on iTunes?

April 30, 2010 - 3:32 am 1 Comment

I have some music videos I downloaded from a different source than the iTunes Store and it adds them to the movies folder under the library. I was wondering if there’s a way to transfer them to the Music Videos playlist. It seems to be not possible, but I might be missing something. Suggestions?

I convert my Youtube downloads to mp4 then drag them to a folder which I have told iTunes to monitor.
It is all in the iTunes set up instructions. I am no expert so if I can do it you can :o )
