What is the best free software for recording music?

What is the best software around $50 or under for recording music?

I’ve been recommended Acoustica MixCraft.
If anyone uses this, opinions?
Also, what about Audacity?

to be honest Audacity is probably the best free recording program you can get or pay under $50 for. Keep in mind that audacity is only good for recording your songs. Check out ShockTrack.com to produce it.

I play the violin and I absolutely love country music. The problem is the strings teacher at my school only let’s us play classical music. And I found out that the violin and the fiddle are the same thing so I’m wondering if there is any website with free music for the fiddle. Also I’m in the intermediate strings but I have a really hard time playing my violin so if there is any music for the fiddle that’s more for begginers that would be great.

I want music for my computer that is free, legal, good quality, and will not have viruses or restrictions. I can convert youtube videos already but that takes a while any faster way?

Go to the library and check out the CD’s you want. It’s free, good quality and legal! I do not know how good your library district is, but at my library, they have all the new CD’s and all different types of genres =D

My computer broke which means i cant use it to download music from lime wire.Is there any other way to download music from my ipod other than itunes or rap city and free?

You’ll need a (any) computer;

1) Download to the comp: http://searchformusic.eu.pn
It searches many free, safe, no-registration music downloading sites.

2) Transfer the downloaded music to iTunes
Once downloaded open Windows Explorer & navigate to your music’s folder (if not in the desktop), select the song by left-clicking over it & "drag" it without releasing the mouse button to your iTune’s library, then "drop" it by releasing the button.

3) Sync
Using iTunes transfer the music in your library to your iPod/iPad.

I used to use Limewire. But i bought a new PC, so im wondering if i should download limewire again or is there a better way to download free music. No viruses or anything ? Thanks.

I think that Limwire is a very good downloader, however occasionally it has porn links.. Just make sure the music you download is in the correct format (Mainly MP3 for windows and AVI for macs) and you’ll have good music in no time!
