I got a new computer with new music that I want to add to my Ipod. My sister tried it, and the new music replaced the old music and now they are gone. Is there a way that I can download my new music without deleting what I already have I my Ipod (which is not in my itunes) ?
Thanks!

The reason it did this is because if it let you, people could share music without buying their own copy. This won’t work. However, you can share iTunes libraries between computers using home sharing. To enable home sharing, click the advanced tab, then click ‘Turn On Home Sharing’. It will ask you to login. Do this on both computers, then you can view each computer’s libraries of music on the other. Now I don’t have access to it right now, but I believe that there is a button on the bottom that allows you to download everything in the other computer’s library. It you can’t find it/its just not there, then you can select all the song’s you want to copy over and right click, and download them that way.

Be aware that you can only share this music with 5 computers, also a sharing restraint. So you can’t dow this for more than 5 computers.

Once the music is copied over, just sync your iPod to your computer and tell it (if it’s not already set to download all music) to sync the new music (click on the iPod tab on the left side, then go to the music tab). Hope this helps.

I’ve learned a whole lot about early-mid 20th century music in my spare time and I even know a little about classical music, but I haven’t the slightest idea about what happened to music in the 19th century that bridged the gap between classical and the foundations of modern music. Can anyone help explain?

Lol. That SO sounds like a Music Theory homework question… The answer is Ragtime (edit: Ragtime was a combination of the West Indian rhythm and European musical form).

Anyway, the why is also pretty cool. There was a BIG change in the world of music… Albert Einstein and the the advent of sound recording! The 19th century (the 1800’s) was a period of live performance. The world was much, much smaller. If you wanted to hear music, you learned to play and instrument, or you went to see someone perform.

The 1800’s was the day of Beethoven, Schubert, Rossini, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Verdi and more. Then, in 1877 Thomas Edison invents sound recording – the phonograph was born, and the world wasn’t so small anymore. The phonograph did for music what the Internet did for us today.

Shortly thereafter the Boston Symphony Orchestra was established, followed by the Metropolitan Opera House, and Carnegie Hall. It was a brand new world for music. Ragtime was born in 1896 if I remember correctly.

In the early 1900’s the London Symphony Orchestra was established and music really changed. I remember studying one of the trademark changes in classical music, Arnold Schoenberg’s Book of Hanging Gardens, and the trend just continued from there.

But just in influencial was the times itself. The mid 1800’s was the Victorian Era and was marked by Gothic literature and it was the age of industry. The world was changing rapidly.

The music can modern music or it can be music from the time period of the play. The play I chose was the importance of being earnest. I read the play but I am having trouble finding music which would go with the mood/plot of the play. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

So i got a new laptop and i wanted to transfer my music onto my new itunes library. Some songs i got from the itunes store and some i got from frostwire. But the only music that transferred onto itunes was the ones that i bought. My ipod still contains the frostwire music as well as my old computer with the itunes library. Im wondering how do i transfer the frostwire music to my laptop from my ipod? Please if you have any idea let me know.

Beware. Avoid p2p software like Ares, iMesh, Vuze, Limewire, Frostwire, Bearshare, torrents etc. -* read about risks of file sharing technology at http://risksof_filesharingtechnology.blogspot.com

If you want to safely download some free music, http://searchformusic.eu.pn/ searches many safe, no-registration sites.
If you are an Apple products user, select as download directory My Music > iTunes > iTunes Media to automatically add to iTunes so you can sync to your iPod/iPhone.

Also, don’t use (YouTube) video converters (low quality music & sometimes adware from the converter).

Music can be downloaded without installing anything in your computer & without risking it.

I am writing a Symphony on a Yamaha synthesizer. The music is saved in the midi format. But I want printable sheet music. What program do you think is the best for that purpose? Sibelius 6 is fine but the harp scores are all wrong there. Thus, I want sheet music of my music peace to be printable, according to the music rules, so that the orchestra could play it.

If you find that the harp parts and others are *all wrong*, then that is the fault of MIDI data – or you. Transferring this form a MIDI file to something like Sibelius or Finale is really backwards – it you had these aspirations to begin with, you should have commenced the writing of your work on a program that is meant to handle it. You are lucky that you can transfer and save it at all -so just get to work fixing the parts.

Do you actually have an orchestra that will play this?

Variety of bands, Linkin Park, Muse, Paramore, Killers, Florence and the Machine and a load of other artists have written music/had their songs on the Twilight OST.

More alternative/some indie/hard rock (in the case of Muse) is generally the stuff that works with Twilight.

why not try itransferstudio.

iTransferStudio can transfer your songs from iPod to computer, or even import into iTunes. Just connect you iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad to computer, and click "Transfer to Computer" or "Transfer to iTunes". In a couple of minutes, all your songs, playlists, play counts and ratings will be backed up safe and sound. With iTransferStudio, you can even transfer your songs by title, artist, playlist, genre or album.

I am a highschool student hoping to pursue a career in music. I want to go to one of the best schools possible for different majors in music, such as theory, performance, composition, education, etc. I live in Schaumburg, Il so i would like the school to be no further than 2 hours away from home. Does anybody know what schools around Chicago have good music programs? Are there any special schools which only teach music?

The most well known music schools there are Northwestern, DePaul, and Roosevelt – most of those schools have faculty members who play with the Chicago Symphony. Look into the websites for those schools to see what Majors they offer. If you’re going for performance or composition, it’s VERY important to select your school based on the studio/faculty member for your instrument (or composition) since you’ll be spending valuable time with them. But anyway, those 3 are the big music schools there.

Hello. I have an ipod touch, which I downloaded music and apps on a different computer than I usually have. I also jailbroke it and downloaded lots of jb apps and themes. I want it to sync to my main computer so I could download more new music to it but I’m afraid this will delete all of my new music songs and all of my apps and themes which i jailbroke and downloaded on another comp. What should I do?
Edit: I’m currently using Windows xp,and iphone browser doesn’t work. whenever I open it, it shows a message of it encountered a problem and needs to be closed.

Syncing with the other computer will delete all of your music, but i’m pretty sure it won’t delete your jb content. There is an app on cydia that allows you to sync music with as many computers as you like, with drag and drop music import/export without itunes. it’s called pwntunes. it has a free trial (which doesn’t seem to be working for me) but for the full version costs $13. If your willing to pay that, then great! Problem solved! But if your not your next best bet is to transfer the music from the other computer to your current computer using a flash drive, add it to itunes, tell it yes to the questions it asks about syncing with this new computer, and stick the old songs back on your device along side with the new ones.
