How do I upload a video on youtube with music?

May 16, 2010 - 6:38 pm 4 Comments

I know how to upload a video, and i have a youtube account, but whenever i try to upload a video with music in it, that’s not my mine, it never lets me! but i always see other people doing it like wtf?

that is probably a new thing they are doing on youtube to prevent copyrighting. I haven’t uploaded any thing with music in a while so i’m not sure. Type in royalty free music (music that you are allowed to use) and see what happens. Also in your description say where the music is from then let me know if it worked by messaging me on my account http://youtube.com/user/chaoticmatters

Add the ‘Funwall’ application. Then click post… you can then copy/paste the Youtube URL in to the field provided and add comments if you want to.

How do people upload videos on youtube with copyright music?

May 8, 2010 - 11:49 pm 3 Comments

I always see videos on youtube with music videos and videos of people with mainstream songs and they play fine. I tried to upload a video for a project with an old Buffalo Springfield "For what its worth" and it muted my whole video and said it was violation of copyright laws or something. Also my video was all choppy, anyone know about that either? Thanks

Don’t take it personally.

Unfortunately for you, any music that’s not your creation and that is
used in your video is considered "copyright infringement". The huge
music/media corporations like UMG, Warner and Viacom don’t just
"own their music", they "own the rights" to them, which means how
and where "their music" can be publicly presented.

Thus, they’re apparently 100% within their rights to claim the music
in your video as their own — especially if you have not paid them for
"licensing fees", "distribution rights", "royalties", and/or "expressed
written permission" to use and "broadcast" their music on YouTube.

If you know of other vids using the same music, either YouTube will
take them down eventually, or someone who’s jealous will flag them.
If you’re willing to take the chance and re-upload your video with the
same music, do not write the name of the song or artist in your title,
description, or tags. Also avoid irrelevant phrases like "no copyright
infringement intended", "I do not own the music" or "I don’t take any
credit for this song". Not only do YouTube’s servers seek out words
and sentences like that, it reaffirms that you have knowingly copied,
taken, used or maybe even stolen somenody’s copyrighted material.

You should also consider the fact that the music-recording industry
is starting to use hidden "watermarks" or "fingerprints" buried within
their music, in order to uncover and identify their illicit use. As such,
it is possible that no matter how many times you try to upload your
video, it may always be rejected because of "copyright infringement".
You would thus be better off trying to find a different recording of the
music you want to use. If you’ve noticed that other videos are using
the exact same music, those videos were probably uploaded before
this new technology really started coming into being.

The only possible exception to everything that I’ve just written above
is for you to use music that is shorter than 30 seconds. If you listen
carefully to any talk-show on radio or TV, they will never use or play
other people’s music for longer than 30 seconds when introducing a
guest or going into/out of commercials. Can you guess the reason?
(Hint: it has to do with "licensing fees" and "royalties".)

I hope my info has been helpful to you.

Music Piracy, Youtube, and the Fans. A Tyger rant.

May 7, 2010 - 4:01 pm 25 Comments

A fairly quick EDUCATIONAL rant about the music industry, and their absolute paranoia over “copyright infringement”. If I had the money I’d fight them and argue “fair use” laws, but they have more money and more lawyers. And as we all know you don’t need to be right, you just need to have the right lawyers.

And a LINK! http://www.hollywoodtoday.net/2008/12/21/warner-music-group-pulls-the-plug-on-youtube/ Warner Music is throwing a hissy fit because youtube isn’t paying them enough money! A multi-BILLION dollar company is pulling a juvenile stunt. Thanks Warner Music! And thanks youtube for bending over and taking it rather than stepping up to defend your users! Way to go!!!!

I believe it was Carlos Santana who said something like this first. “They claimed that home taping would kill the music industry. Then they said home CD’s would kill the music industry. Then napster would kill the music industry. Bad music is what’s killing the music industry.”

§ 107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use40

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include —

(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;

(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;

(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and

(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.

The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

Smooth Criminal [Moonwalker Cut] [HD] – Michael Jackson

May 4, 2010 - 10:33 am 25 Comments

MADALIN Games: http://sites.google.com/site/onlinegames01org/

“Smooth Criminal” is the seventh single from Michael Jackson ’s Bad album (1988). The song contains a fast-paced beat intertwined with Michael’s lyrics about a woman named Annie, who has been attacked in her apartment by a “smooth” assailant.

It was released as a single on October 24, 1988 and peaked at 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was re-released on April 10, 2006 as a part of the Visionary: The Video Singles box-set. The re-released Visionary single charted at #19 in the UK. In 2003, the song appeared on the Number Ones greatest hits album.

“Smooth Criminal” was presented in a ten-minute long clip in which Michael dances through a 1930s-style nightclub (known in the film as “Club 30s”). The version of the song used in the clip is different from the album version: the background beats are different, there are several new lyrics (see below), and the song is much longer overall.

The version of the video that is usually aired on network television is 4 minutes long and is merely a sped up version of the clip from the film. Michael briefly moonwalks before the famous anti-gravity lean.

The ten minute long “Smooth Criminal” clip is reminiscent of the musical number known as “The Girl Hunt Ballet” which is featured as the final number in the 1952 musical film The Band Wagon starring Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse. “The Girl Hunt Ballet” is a spoof of Mickey Spillane’s hard-boiled detective novels.

“Smooth Criminal” was a song that almost didn’t make it into the Bad album. With the final decision to include the song, Michael originally decided to make the music video a western-styled short film. However, he later decided to change the style into a 1930s nightclub style.

Remastered by Madalin Stanciu in Sony Vegas Pro 8 software.

Where can i get NON copyrighted music for Youtube?

May 4, 2010 - 4:16 am 3 Comments

Like Every single time i uploaded a video on Youtube with music, it’s copyrighted and the audio for it is taken off. Where can i find another way to get NON copyrighted music?
Should I still use Limewire for it?

Most people cannot seem to grasp the meaning of "copyright". In a
nutshell, it means "What’s mine is mine. And what’s yours is yours".
As such, "EVERY" song in the world is "copyrighted", and belongs
to any number of people, including the composer, lyricist, publisher,
performer, and especially the record label.

It’s "their" music, and they have the "legal" right to do whatever it is
they want with "their" music, including getting paid for: "distribution
rights", "licences", "royalties", and the "express written permission"
to use their music solely for the purpose of the written contract that
was signed between your lawyer(s) and theirs.

However, there’s "AudioSwap" — for which YouTube has paid all the
required fees — allowing people to do whatever they wish with those
songs. You are "good to go" with "anything" by the following artists:

– Evanescence (including songs like "Bring Me to Life")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3ORuIBjjBU
– Finger Eleven (including songs like "Paralyzer")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYGCT4AQIR0
– Drowning Pool (including songs like "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO_QntXc-c4
– Creed (including songs like "With Arms Open Wide")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HdGUNm6-qI
– and a whole lot more.
